![]() The site's a mess honestly, they've been sold like 3 times in the last 3 years and each time it's included staffing changes and reductions in overall teamsize, now they're part of Fandom. ![]() Anybody know anything about Gamespot review being late for this game?Doubtful. Especially with all the affiliate links, guides, and how to Save On Hogwarts Legacy Preorders on their website.I kinda wanna see that review now. ![]() If you are bored of the open world model there’s not a lot new here and if Rowling’s behaviour has poisoned her world for you it won’t overcome that.I HOPE they aren't boycotting a review for this game. If you like open world games and Harry Potter you’ll find it catnip. You can pick holes in it in much the same way you can in any other Ubisoft title, or the last Dragon Age game, or even to some extent Witcher 3.Its very pretty and it does a fantastic job of offering Potter fan service. It’s a decent open world action/RPG game with many of the shortcomings present in most examples of the genre. Again, understandable, but as someone who just wants to find out more about the game and gameplay itself and not the moral choice whether to buy it (something the first line of this post points to where I currently lie), it is hard not to draw a conclusion that a lot of the reviews are focussing primarily on the latter and not the former. No review is objective and every writer has their own bias, but this seems to have been amplified x50 for this game and it leaves you finding it hard to trust. I don't own the game, nor do I intend to just yet (although as a Potter fan it has been surprisingly hard to resist, given the higher than expected scores), but I have to say I find many of the reviews difficult to swallow.
